The Ellicott City office of Pediatric Partners
was the first pediatric office in Howard County, Maryland
by Dr. Marston Young. He opened the doors in August
of 1969 after graduating from the University of Maryland
School of Medicine, serving his country in Vietnam, and
completing his pediatric residency in Baltimore.
When he retired, Dr. Richard Gorman bought the practice
and assumed full time duties in Ellicott City. He
had been working in Baltimore teaching pediatric residents
in several hospitals as well as being involved in the
Maryland Poison Center. It was during this time
that he joined with three other pediatric practices in
the Baltimore area to form Pediatric Partners. He
left clinical practice in 2007 to pursue his interests
in clinical drug trials at the National Institute of Health
on a more full time basis. When he was leaving,
Dr. Claudia Beck relocated to Ellicott City from the Bel
Air practice of Pediatric Partners. She is also a graduate
of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is
thoroughly enjoying getting to know the children and families
in the Howard County office (including some who were Dr.
Young’s patients!) and continuing to accept new
patients.

Dr. Claudia Beck earned her medical degree from The University of Maryland in 1992. She performed her internship and completed her pediatric residency program at Vanderbilt University in 1995. She also completed a pediatric fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Beck began practicing Pediatrics in Nashville, Tennessee where she stayed for four years. She then moved to Bel Air, Maryland where she practiced at the Main Street Office of Pediatric Partners for four years. She then moved to Howard County and has been at the Ellicott City Office of Pediatric Partners since late 2006.
Dr. Beck is Board Certified in Pediatrics with a special interest in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Beck’s interests include travel, jewelry making and pets including her two lovable pooches, one adorable cat and a fish named Elvis. |
